(Coming soon!)
The Lake Highlands High School Band is made up of nearly 200 students in grades 9-12 from all over the Lake Highlands Learning Community. In addition to being members of the band, many of our students are also a part of other organizations at LHHS, such as JROTC, baseball, basketball, wrestling, track, Wranglers, and more! We even have students that hold internships and have part- or full-time jobs in addition to their responsibilities as students.
We are very thankful to be able to provide experiences like marching contests, concert festivals, yearly spring trips, recordings opportunities, chances to work with university professors, and more. That being said, these experiences do come with a price tag. In addition to these costs, other yearly costs include instrument purchasing and maintenance, equipment repair, hiring marching design specialists, building props, feeding the students before contests, and providing scholarships for students with financial need. Currently, 55% of our band students are on some type of need-based scholarship.
All ticket purchases, bids, and donations will go directly to the LHABC, or Lake Highlands Area Band Club, which is our parent booster organization. LHABC serves the band students of Lake Highlands High School and its feeder programs - Forest Meadow Junior High, Lake Highlands Junior High, and all of their elementary feeder schools. Your contributions to our fundraisers mean the world to our band students, families, staff, and community! Thank you!
