Attendance reminder: With an increase in absences over the last month, the staff is reminding families of the attendance policy in the 26-27 LHHS Band Handbook. Excused absences carry no grade penalty. An unexcused absence from a rehearsal or sectional lowers the nine weeks participation average by 20 points, tardies lower it by 5 points, and an unexcused absence from a performance results in a grade of 0 and may jeopardize a student's spot in the marching band. If an excused absence is anticipated, please send written or email notice at least two days in advance.
Shout out to our drumline for performing at the Dallas Athletic Club to kick off their tournament. Students enjoyed a great lunch and earned a donation for the LHABC!
