LH Band Update - Week of Oct. 26
Congratulations to the LH Band on earning unanimous 1st division ratings at UIL Region! This week brings morning rehearsals every day, PSAT Day and the Taco Joint Spirit Night on Wednesday, our away game at Plano West on Friday and the UIL Area C Marching Contest on Saturday. See below for details:
Full week's rehearsal schedule:
Full Band Morning Rehearsals Mon.-Fri., 6:45-8:20 am (Friday's rehearsal is in the stadium)
Etude 2B Listenings begin Mon.; Senior Letters due Mon. (Conference Room)
Region Orchestra Audition sign-up Mon. (in class); entry audition due Mon., Nov. 2
MS Football Game - LHMS vs. FMMS Tue. (volunteers)
PSAT Day Wed., Oct. 28 (must be registered)
Taco Joint Spirit Night Wed., Oct. 28
3 Week Grade Check Fri., Oct. 30
FNL Away @ Plano West (Clark Stadium) - Friday, Oct. 30 (full itinerary here)
UIL Area C Marching Contest - Saturday, Oct. 31, Mesquite Memorial Stadium; Prelims/Finals format, with the top 10 bands advancing to Finals at 7:30 pm. Rain is in the forecast, so plans are subject to change (itinerary here; spectator tickets here)
Color Guard Tamale Fundraiser - orders open through Fri., Nov. 6 (use the QR code on the flyer); pickup Mon., Nov. 16, 5:00-7:00 pm at the LHHS Band Hall
Seniors: submit your Senior Night announcement for 11/6 here
Help Sessions for Oct. 26-30: sign up here (once per week)
Looking ahead: No school Mon.-Tue., Nov. 2-3 (staff development), with possible marching rehearsals Nov. 2-5 pending State advancement. Friday, Nov. 6 is Senior Night at home vs. Richardson (Senior Breakfast 7:00 am; Senior Recognition Rehearsal 7:45 am, seniors only). The UIL State Marching Contest is Nov. 9-10, pending advancement.
