Don Hanna Contest Delayed — New Performance Time: 9:15 PM
Good afternoon,
We just received word that tomorrow's Don Hanna Memorial Contest has delayed its start time to 4:00 PM.
Our performance time is now 9:15 PM. We will adjust the itinerary as soon as possible and send it out this afternoon. Count on a delayed afternoon call time.
All bands will only get one run — the Prelims placements will serve as the Finals placements.

LH Band – Don Hanna Memorial Marching Contest

There will only be one performance tomorrow.
1:30 PM – Call time for rehearsal. Tape field if dry enough. Stage speakers with trash bags. Stage props for Side 2 entrance. Polish and clean instruments. Bring all instruments in case to protect from rain if needed.
Contingency if weather doesn't allow: rehearsal in the MAC.
2:00–3:00 PM – Rehearsal in the stadium. No uniform pieces so they stay dry. Black/gray logo shirt.
3:00–4:00 PM – Logistics/Percussion/Cat Crew load trucks at the stadium; trucks must stay off the grass.
Non-logistics: structured down time till dinner (homework, etc.).
4:30 PM – Dinner served in the HUB by LHABC.
5:15 PM – Inspection. In order to attend contest you must be on time with:
Competition uniform: Yellow As We Ascend shirt, black LH logo shorts, jacket, bibbers, black socks, vipers, hat box/shako
Equipment: instrument, water bottle, garment bag
Hair: long hair must be secured above the collar and away from the face and uniform; all hair must be well-groomed to complement uniform appearance
No visible jewelry: all necklaces, bracelets, and earrings must be removed; permanent piercings should be covered with a skin-toned bandage
Makeup: none allowed (Colorguard determined by Mrs. Harrison)
5:30 PM – Load buses
5:45 PM – Depart for C. H. Collins Stadium, 1500 Long Rd, Denton, TX 76207
7:00 PM – Arrive at lot; unload for bathroom breaks; logistics/percussion/Cat Crew unload
7:40 PM – Fully dressed in uniform; small instruments assembled
7:50 PM – Large instruments retrieved from trucks; JV move to trucks/props
8:05 PM – Varsity blocks up outside buses (winds/guard) with battery and front ensemble
Retrieve plume from chaperones.
8:15 PM – Move to warm-up location C
8:30 PM – Official contest warm-up begins
8:45 PM – Props move to field entrance; JV/Cat Crew
9:00 PM – Leave warm-up, walk to stadium
9:10 PM – Take the field
9:15 PM – LH Band performs As We Ascend
9:25 PM – Exit field
9:30 PM – Drop off front ensemble/large instruments at trucks
Head back to stands for the Awards Ceremony. Drum Majors go straight to the field entrance for the Awards Ceremony.
9:45 PM – Awards Ceremony
10:15 PM – Finish loading trucks, load buses
10:45 PM – Depart for Lake Highlands HS
11:45 PM – Estimated return to campus
