Schedule Update - Week of Sept. 14

This week's rehearsal schedule, the first UIL eligibility grade check of the year, FNL itinerary for the Sept. 18 game at Plano East, and more. See below for details:

• UIL Eligibility Grade Check - Friday, Sept. 18 at 4:20pm. The district checks grades in every class for failing marks in non-exempt courses; this is the date grades are checked, not the date a student becomes ineligible. A blank grade counts as failing until it's replaced with a real score, so check Focus and your teachers today. If a student is failing, eligibility takes effect the following Friday, Sept. 25.

• Full week's rehearsal schedule:

  • Leadership Meeting & Etude 2A Listenings begin Mon., 8:15 am

  • Varsity Rehearsal Mon., 5:30-8:00 pm

  • Varsity Morning Rehearsals Tue.-Wed., 7:00-8:20 am

  • Full Band Morning Rehearsals Thurs.-Fri., 7:00-8:20 am (Friday at the stadium)

• FNL Away vs. Plano East - Friday, Sept. 18 (full itinerary here; tickets here)

• Help Session Sign Up open for the week - one appointment per student (sign up here)

• Etude 2A Listenings begin this week; Etude 1A scores posted to Schoology

• Post Game Clean-Up - Trombones for the Sept. 18 game

• Looking ahead: Home vs. Berkner & 8th Grade Night (Sept. 25), Wylie Marching Invitational (Sept. 26)

Check your student's grades in every class today, and treat a blank grade as failing until it's replaced with a real score. If anything looks off, contact the teacher directly. If you have any questions about a specific class or eligibility situation, please reach out.
