The Band Recycles: Turn Your Cans Into Cash for LHABC

Support the band by saving your recyclable metals — it's an easy way to raise funds for FREE! The Lake Highlands Area Band Council (LHABC) is kicking off a new recycling fundraiser, and every family can take part.

What to save: aluminum beverage cans, copper, steel, and other recyclable scrap metals.

How to save your cans: Place aluminum cans in trash bags and tie the bags once they're full.

How to donate: 1) Save your recyclable metals. 2) Take them directly to GeoMet Recycling. 3) Ask GeoMet to add your donation to the Lake Highlands ABC account.

Can't make it to GeoMet? We'll also have monthly collection days at the school for families who would like to drop off donations for volunteers to haul to GeoMet.

GeoMet will calculate the amount and periodically send a check to LHABC. Easy. Free. Impactful.

Monthly Collection Day: Our first collection day is Saturday, September 26, 10:00 AM – noon at the LHHS Band Hall parking lot. Bring aluminum cans and other recyclable metals in tied trash bags.

Be a Haul Helper: Trucks or trailers are needed each month to help haul the recyclables to GeoMet. Scan the QR code on the flyer to sign up to help.
